So, tooling around the internets during lunchtime found me flabbergasted with pride and secret coolness, as I had discovered that Stepherz nominated me for a Thinking Blogger Award.

How awesome is that? In return, I have to nominate 5 blogs that really get me thinking.

Firstly, in a daring move I don’t think has been seen yet, I counter nominate Stepherz. (And not cause she nominated me) I love reading her posts about the overwhleming joy she experiences getting to spend time with her family, as well as experiences she’s had that may not have always been the bestest. I love her photos and her willingness to post pics up of herself. So go check out her blog, its like hanging out in her livingroom (which I totally would do if we lived in the same state)

Secondly, I nominate Sachi! Sachi has an amazing sense of humor (and has amazing patience for the humor of others… like in her comments, even if they are overwhelmingly dirty) and also an amazing strength. She discusses alot of different things, some light and some… not quite so. A while ago she wrote a series of posts, that I believe were titled Guaranteed To Make You Cry (pts 1-6… the link starts at pt1, you’ll have to scroll through 2 months worth of posts to get all 6…. while you scrolling absorb all the yarn and fiber porn she posts and awwww at the piccies of her smooshed face Mr Mew) where she writes in length about being widowed. These series of posts made me regard my own Mister’s mortality and sent me into more than one crying fit. She’s rather plucky, and if I ever lived near her…. (maybe I can live somewhere between her and Stepherz)… I’d want to hang out with her.

Thirdly, I nominate Fyberduck. She posts rather often, so has become almost a daily read for me. She too has yarn and fiber porn, as well as patterns and movie reviews. We like similar things, like movies and books (Terry Pratchett has to share his my [being me] one true love status with chocolate, The Mister, Gerard Butler, and Jonathon Coulton) and a love of medievally stuff. She also writes about her application process to the Peace Corps and losing yarn on a walk. Again, if there was a way I could live close to her, Stepherz, and Sachi… I’d hang out with them all.

Fourthly, I nominate Vaguely Urban. The greatest way to make me think is to make me laugh, and she has more than enough laughs at her blog. From Bagel Day Etiquette to once kissing Jimmy Kimmel…. you’ll find lots to entertain you. Check out the Great Burger Escapades.

Fifthly, but not lastly, I nominate Donnaz from Donnaz Chaos. In addition to her avid support of Boobie Tuesday…. she is also an avid supporter of a good pic of a man in a kilt. She also has a sock monkey.
